From the arid lagoons of the Paraguayan Chaco to the mystical moorlands of Cornwall to the biodiverse savannahs of Kenya, Olivia's travels have guided her to be a firm believer in viewing the world through the lens of a global community. With this perspective, Olivia's work is grounded in advocating for interdisciplinary, collaborative, community-based solutions to combat the urgent challenges posed by the environmental crisis of the Anthropocene era.

As Filipina-American and a woman in STEM, Olivia is deeply dedicated to cultivating environments where diversity, equity, and inclusion thrive. Olivia spearheaded Montana State University's first Pan-Asian association, The Asian Student Interracial Association (A.S.I.A.), and has served on multiple DEI committees and boards.

As a recent MSc graduate from the University of Exeter in England, Olivia has returned home and is currently based in Sacramento, California where she is exploring future career opportunities.
